Diawa Saltist
I have some Saltist 6000 series. I like to open them up once a year and give them a good cleaning and lube. I can't figure out what size or type of tool to remove the side covers. I looks like a regular hex wrench should work, but i can't find a size that fits it. even tried metric. How is everyone else removing those screws?

I looked at mine and do not think it is a hex wrench. It looks like a special wrench.

You can buy a selection of "security bits" sold at the box stores and one will fit that screw head....
I can't read the size as the printing is too small, but one of those style bits will fit them.
It is a star bit, and metric of course...

The size of the allen head is 2.5.mm for the 4500h series. I got that direct from daiwa. Might be the same for the 6k
