Homosassa 9/12 inshore some sorta slam?

Don and I took a short trip today to work the inshore flats with plugs. I packed a light tackle bag with just (what I thought) I needed. The trout were taking rapala flat raps but right off the surface. With my topwater plugs at home I made it work twitching that flat rap along the surface. Before long we had a couple trout each in the box for dinner and released a few more most pushing 19". Along with the trout came some ladyfish (always welcome as grouper and redfish bait). We moved onto some points and worked hard for a few redfish with all from 24" up to 29". The welcome bonus flounder came on a hunk of ladyfish layed up on some rocky bottom. The plan was to toss spoons at the reds but the wind was howling so we fished cut ladyfish. Back at the dock with dinner in tow in less than 4 hours. Another great day on the water with Don.
Trout, redfish and flounder........ some kind of slam?

    Nicely done Kyle/Don.

Q: How much fishing equipment can a man have before his wife throws him out?
A: I do not know for sure; however, I believe that the experiment is almost complete!

I take it the weed situation has cleared up some? Topwater anything was out of the question when I was there the weekend before last. Nice mess of fish as usual.

Some weeds showed up about half way into the incoming but WAY better for sure. Last week we couldn't even work a jerkbait.
