Quick Afternoon Trip - Groupers and Mangroves out of Haulover - 09-06-2012

The plan was to head out by 4, catch bait, and have lines in by 5:30PM. We stopped at the first spot to catch bait but had absolutely ZERO current and couldn't get any bait to show up. We took the frozen bait we had and headed out to 80ft. We managed to get a couple live baits that didn't last longer than 5 minutes. Tarponator had the hot hand today catching 2 grouper and some nice size mangroves.

All in all it was a great short trip and always nice to be out there fishing with your friends.

Gotta love it when you can still catch quality fish even at time when live bait is hard to come by.
