Hillsboro Beach Thursday 9/6/12
Gerard and I left the inlet at about 6:45 looking at a flat sea and a big storm in the stream. Put out five lures at about 100' heading east and immediately had five on. Bonito all. Continued east to 750' without a bite, no birds no debris. The storm sort of scared us from running out farther. Headed back in to 250' and trolled down to PE and picked up another fifteen bonito and a 'cuda. Decided to put down two deep diver rapala lures and run back to the inlet. Nada (one hit that I can't understand how did not get snared on the rapala.) Back home with just a light drizzle. Lots of action, nothing in the box. Pretty nice day out though.
Oh yeah, in about 250' heading north we saw a small whale. Could not get a good look but not a porpoise. About 3 times porpoise size.

Well at least you got a good workout from the bonitos...thanks for the report.
