On Sunday we made plans to fish on Monday Labor Day untill 10 or 11 and after that get ready for a barbecue. Cleared the inlet with the normal crew and Chris's girlfriend. Before all the baits were out Billy noticed something flipping on the deck near one of the strips. He goes to pick it up and it's a baby flyer. Sign of a good day. Maybe. With the spread set we were ready to go. Start working around the ritz, and find a peice of bamboo. Troll by it and nothing. As we get away from it the planer pops, but the fish came unglued. Try to find it again, but couldn't. Then when resetting the planer on the wire it snapped. The whole rig from the planer to the bait was gone. Well that was the first time that has ever happened. We've trolled that set up for a long time with no issues untill today. So with a back-up planer and leash we were back in business. About 7:30am the planer goes off and fish on. Up comes the planer and a nice wahoo. Billy with perfect leadering and Chris with a nice gaff shot in the boat he comes. Worked it for a little longer and got one more hit. Called it a day around 11.
