Helluva a good birthday weekend on the water

Spent my birthday weekend with 5 hours fishing on Friday with a co-worker, and 6 hours Saturday with my son Josh.

Co-worker was stoked because he got his biggest Bass ever.
Josh was stoked because he got his biggest fish this year.

All told we caught about 50 bass the last two days. Enjoy the pics:

    Me with a double:

This was my co-workers biggest bass to date. He just took up bass fishing recently:

Me with a foul hooked crappie (which I originally thought was a tilapia). Don't see these much in our lake. He pimp slapped me across the face with his tail and we got a good laugh:

Dinner and beer with friends on Friday:

Dinner and beer Saturday with my boy:

    NICE!!!

But that foul hooked "tilapia" is actually a Speckled Perch.... Yankees call them Crappie.

Wow. You are right. Been so long since I've caught either didn't even realize. That much time on a canoe in the sun makes your brain go to mush :/
