I was on vaca last week in TX and got these two reds off a jetty. I normally fish out of jup so i had to share. The first was 41.5 inches and the second was 38.5. Prior to the trip my largest was only 22. We were just drifting cut mullet.
Always feels good going to a place your not familiar with and landing a trophy fish. :D

You can get big ones out of ponce inlet on whole 7" blue crabs too. I bet those put up a 7734 of a fight!

Damn right they did. I was lucky to of landed the bigger of the two. I brought 3 rods with me on the trip. I let my inlaws use the best rods and left myself with an old surf rod. The drag on that reel kept hanging as the bull started ripping off line. I was just waiting for the tackle to fail.Originally Posted by Fi$h2nguyen

Like they say, everything's bigger in Texas haha. Cape canaveral holds hundreds of those fat bull reds
