Don and I got up early this morning to hit the daybreak tide to get after some reds with spoons asnd then head out to drift for some trout. We hit the 1st half of the outgoing and the reds had started moving out off the banks a bit. But for an hour the bite was hot with 3 reds boated all in the upper and over slot. We lost 2 others all on spoons. All three reds we boated were released. We headed out to 10' to start a drift with the outgoing tide and the trout did not dissapoint! We had our limit by 12:30 with several upper and over slot trout. The deep trout are beginnig to fatten up and look real healthy after fasting during the storm a couple weeks ago. Along with the trout we boxed 7 seabass up to 14". Another great day on the bay in the Nature Coast.
