Headed to the west side again this morning with the river dead calm. Bait pods were more spread out, but when we found them, we were rewarded with many slot size trout. None too big, so we didn't take any pictures of them(which I would later regret). After that, we head down to a line of docks that has been producing lately and I got a small snook off the 1st one we fish. After a couple of big blowups and misses on our MirrOdines, I finally hook up! The fish peels drag and heads directly for the dock. It got me around a piling, but I followed and untangled it. Pull it up and to my surprise, it's a redfish! My personal best red at 25 inches. So we fish our way back to shore and have a slot snook follow my lure, he was an arms length away, never took the lure, but just followed it for a good 10 secondsCalled it a pretty successful day for how low the tide was, which put a lot of my good docks too shallow to fish. So no picture of the trout, but another good slam!
