    lake rousseau crappie fishing

Just moved here a few months ago wanted to do some crappie fishing. Is there good numbers there?? I was thinking the dam area seems like the best depth. Any input would be great!

Lots of crappie (specks) in Rousseau . Winter and spring are generally when they get fished. I never see anyone trying them in the summer ?
While bass fishing near the dam we have been catching large bluegill on deep crankbaits near the old river channel and there are still some beds I noticed.
As far as panfish go you will do better on bluegill right now.

Depends on where you launch but they should be in shallow tight to the weeds now.
There is lots of hydrilla and eel grass in the 4 to 8' depth. You usually see where the boats are working.
