Mondays trip hit a little snag when we got to the marinia, they were out of live shrimp. We never head offshore without a livewell full of shrimp, everything eats them.
Instead we got a box of dines and castnetted up some pins and greenbacks. We ran out to the pipe knowing that there is some big mangs out there.Capt Pete runs us out to the number then begins to find our anchor heading, perfect time to fire down the swimbait to see whats really going on.About a minute later I am hooked up with a 30 inch gag on 30/40 spinning tackle,my biggest of this season and not a bad way to start the day.We picked away at some nice mangos on sardine plugs then Pete gets broke off,so I switch back to the swimbait to see if I can even the score. To my surprise a 20 inch mangrove eats my swimbait, first mango ever on a swimbait.Five minutes later we couldnt believe what ate it this time.....
