Took a friend out today and did a little nearshore and backbay. Netted a good amount of Threads, Pinfish, and Pilchards in about 14 feet of water. Was a little bumpy and the water was quite cloudy. Lots of Spanish at the 4 mile mark. Stopped at a few nearshore piles but it was slow. Dropped down for some Goliaths but the sharks or cuda were cutting through the 500lb mono like butter.
I ended up taking him in the back country.Teased a few snook. Overall, a slow day. I feel the freshwaer runoff has hurt the bite for the past few days. Anyways, towards the end of our trip.... REDEMPTION. 30.5 Red on pinfish. Perserverance and damn accurate casts eventually pay off.
