Went to the beach for a couple hours Sunday night. Whiting and grey trout were thick. Caught 2 and 3 at a time - couple of times two per hook. Never waited more than 30 seconds before a bite. Unfortunately most were on the smaller size. Started with freezer shrimp then changed to fresh cut bait. Ended up only taking 9 home. Enough for a couple of meals anyway.
I could see tarpon out there also but well beyond my casting range.
<edit> Yes Sunday was 7/1. Don't see a way to edit the title to correct.
