Forum Member Brent (Reel McCoy) has fished with me a few times before this trip and it is always fun to have him and his family aboard. Today both of his sons Colby (the younger guy) and Dallas joined dad for a day drifting up some trout. We hit the water at 7:45 and ran out to 9' to begin our drift with the outgoing tide. The trout were scarce at first but we picked away at them and the sea bass kept us busy in between. As we drifted I angled to the north and as we got further north we started hitting decent trout more frequently. Dallas gets top honors with the most trout and Colby with the biggest. Brent get top honors fopr bringing his sons out for a day they wont soon forget. By the time we headed in we had thier limits of trout and a few seabass to fill out a great cooler full of fish. They did all get an overslot fish with several others right at 19" Cut bait on a Carolina rig drifted way behind the boat was the ticket today. Big smiles and high fives was the contsant. One thing I will never get tired of is taking families out and showing them a great time on the water and sending them home with some nice fillets and memories.
