SGI 5/21-26 fishing report

Quick report on a week @SGI with family- and collage kids - who think 6:00 am is time to go to bed- not fish.
Monday's keepers: 1 gag, 1 red grouper, 1 cobia @ 36", 5 mangos @ average 22".
Tuesdays keepers: 5 mangos and one throw back mention-ARS @ near 28"
Wednesday keepers: 1 cobia @ 3' , 3 mangos @ 20" average, 3 flounder and a 34" AJ
Thursday's keepers: first day out with kids- 2 lane snapper, 2 nice triggers, some black bass-one of my favorites- 1 king at 30" and 2 lost at boat at 40" plus (thanks goodness- we are not eating those)
Friday: Gags- 2 in the box, 6 more legal released- moved just to stop the pain of releasing them, add 5 more 22" plus mangos
Saturday: real short trip- 8 mangos, daughter hooked up with a 6' hammerhead, brought it to the boat- not in. Back inside the cut by 10:00 am

You certainly had an active week, with some good sport.

I think Mangos are as good if not better. What type bait were you using? Nice mess of fish.

Pilchers- Saturday they got all fired up and came up to boat. Boat was surrounded by mangos and little AJs, watching them grab the bait is too much fun.
