    Sharks in St Augustine inlet?

Think big sharks ever cruise through the inlet in the colder months?

lol...thanks for the reply. You think LEO would have a problem with having a wood fire contained in a barrel or a grill? I cant remember the wording on the signs...but im sure there is some sort of campfire restriction. Which never really made much sense to me....no fires on the beach, probably the safest place to have a fire! Nothing to catch and plenty of water! We want to paddle some big baits out in the inlet and make a night of it. Would be nice to have a fire of some sort..

build a fire, the worst that'll happen is they tell you to put it out
    I am choice.

Unless there is a no fire sign I can't think of a reason not too. Not telling you to but unless told not to what's the harm

While not a bon fire, I have used my charcoal grill there at salt run plenty of times with no problems. I can't imagine a fire barrel being much different. I say go for it! Not too long ago some woman caught a 6-7' bull shark right there off the Vilano Pier....thats a big, nasty shark in my opinion!

It's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Whoah - are we talking about camping on the beach?? I'm a little sleep deprived so forgive my slowness...

Not from October 31st-May 1st. This includes Crescent Beach

Jacqueo....not talking about camping on the beach per say....as we would not have a tent or be sleeping on the beach. I wish you could camp on the beach. My guess is its not allowed due to people leaving trash behind. As soon as fires on the beach are allowed, someone is going to have 100 people and a bon fire out there...yadda.. people taking advantage of a good thing and causing more trouble for LEO than its worth.

I would like to bring a metal burn barrel for warmpth/light...morale booster....ect. Keep the ladies happy
