    hooks

offset circle hooks I love. Still have not mastered regular circle hooks. But if push comes to shove nothing like setting the hook on a J hook. Biteme1

i love using circle hooks especially for live baiting, like free lining, and bottom fishing. i find you hookup percentage goes way up if you snell the hook properly. it is very easy to learn and i have never gut hooked a fish when it is snelled.

Prefer Circle Hooks for live or dead bait. J-hooks for trolling and jigging.

Owner circle for just about everything. Tried a J for mangos a few weeks ago, just kept losing bait. Switched to circle instant hook-up.

I can't stand circle hooks. Even with in line circles I have gut hooked many muttons ARS and grouper. I tend to let them eat too long when fishing with them. I honestly think I hook just as many fish in mouth with j hooks. If it were up to me that's all I would fish.

VMC 3X inline circles for me. I hated them at first, but now I don't think I could go back.

Agree! I really don't see how you are gut hooking them. I can leave the rod in the holder and get a perfect lip hook.

I may give circles another chance when I go out again. But I have lost a few fish from circles compared to live bait hooks when snook fishing.
