    Offshore in 65ft off AMI

    finally had a day off with school and work being so crazy so Capt Vern treated me to a trip.

    started off at the 3 mile and sabiki'd up pins, blue runners, pig fish, sardines...you name it

    were going to run out to 100 or so in search of some big fire trucks but we found a bottom chunk we couldnt pass up. Several gag grouper in the large and larger range were caught. RGs got in the action as well with bringing 4 keepers home...between 20-23".

    the highlight of the day was watching Vern struggle to bring in a MONSTER gag on light tackle only to have mr toothy nail it at the boat

    Very rare day at that ! All fish were caught in less then 40 ft of water.

    been freediving some spots in 35-40' that are absolutely stacked with gags right now. too bad once the season opens they will attempt to scatter and hide deep
