We ended up with two keeper Red Grouper for our trouble. Here are a few we had to throw back. Even the trigger fish were a 1/2 inch too short. A shark ruined the day for the one grouper.

Nice catch even if it was a release. Too bad our state doesn't stand up and fight a little harder and blow off NMFS like they did in Texas and give us at least some state water action.

Not promoting it, but I might have tossed that head in the cooler and taken my chances with the law man. They do have some discretion. Fresh fried grouper throats are mighty tasty.
