Decided to do some drifts with butterfly jigs and live bait North of Govt. Cut early saturday morning. First drift produces a decent king that cut us off at the boat and a big sail that was on for about 30 seconds on a butterfly jig. Decide to make another drift over the same area and immediately boat 3, 15-20lb kings, all on jigs! Fishing slowed down after that so we decide to start a blind troll South. 20 minutes in we hook up to a decent 10-12 lb dolphin. With the live well running out of threads and pilchards we decide to do are final drift where we hooked the dolphin. First and second livebaits in the water get destroyed by 2 little schoolies. First and second jigs in the water get destroyed by a bonito and a football blackfin. This is probably about the best fishing on the edge has been all year.Attachment 29478Attachment 29479Attachment 29480
