Sporty Seas at Ft Pierce on Sunday 15, but Mahis in the Box

Headed out of Ft Pierce Sunday morning around 7:30am Inlet was nasty on our way out with se winds 15 to 20 knots and gusting to 23, many boats took a peek and turn back inshorem we were determine to fish after driving 2 hrs from Orlando, so we put our rain gear even that there was no rain but we knew we where gone get wet. So se we went, Yes SE! got pretty went only could do about 12 knots, no bait at the bouy, headed out East to 100 feet, after trolling for a while with nothing to show for got to 200' scatter weeds everywhere got 2 Mahis pretty quick, around 12 and 15 lbs, then dead. troll to 300' and no sucess, came back to 200' changed our ballyhoos for bonitas strips and got 2 more right away. Back in at 3:30pm, got the Florida Wildlife at the docks doing his job, said that we where the only ones with fish on the ramp so far. It was Brutal out there but we manage to put 4 mahis in the Box.

Long drive, good decision to stick it out and bring home some meat.

Good job getting those fins. Conditions definitely were nasty.
