Well Guys, spring is officially here, the weather has calmed down some and the fishing is EXCELLENT, most of my trips have been in the Triton Bay boat (new 24' coming soon), with everyone from begginners to experienced anglers, the redfishing has been HOT, we are catching 40-100 per trip in the 22-33" range all on pinfish, the snook have bit good when the tide and the water color have been matched perfectly, with most fish being slot sized and some little guys mixed in.
The Maverick HPX has been gettin splashed more ofter now that the tarpon are moving good and the redfishing on the flats has been excellent, we have been finding reds on the flats in groups from 2 to 100 in the 23-30" range and they have been very cooperative eating plastics on flutter hooks.. The tarpon fishing has picked up we have been geting some good shots on fly with only a few bites, the afternoon falling tide at ch2 and 5 passes have been good, the last 2 nights we were 2-4 and 1-5 on fish in the 100# class, all bites on crabs..
the permit fishing is spotty on the flats even know we did eek one out the other day for my 14 yr old buddy who casted and caught that fish all by himself ( he made me stop at world wide on the way back to get a shirt with a permit on it) because now its definitly his favorite fish LOL..
Come on down he fishing Inshore and offshore is RED HOT....
tight lines
