The last few times out netted some pretty decent fish. Over the past 2 weeks the bait has really just exploded on the flats and it is nothing to see big trout busting while you are netting it up. Ive been spending most of my time near oyster bars on the flood tides and shorelines with good tidal flows. The Gator Trout are still around and will eat a shiner and now the snook are wandering into the keys....

Here is my church brother JT showing off some good fish we caught on the last really nice high tide during the full moon phase.....he is a veteran of WWII and fought at Okinawa and Iwo Jima. Landed on the beaches and the whole nine yards....

a good mid slot fish caught on a gold spoon.....

another good fish caught against the bushes on a wounded threadfin.....

this fish busted a shiner next to a flooded oyster bar during the hottest part of the day.....

Another church brother with his first red....a rat that ate a deadfin....

and a Gator Trout that chewed a threadie....

This was RR's best fish of the day....a solid 22 inch red that pounded a cut pinfish just off some dead sticks....

Yes, the fish are out there....the bait is out there.....so, it looks like the next few months will possibly be a lot of fun as long as the gas doesnt go up to $6 like the rumors have it. Glory goes to the LORD for the blessings of the past few weeks.....
