4-05 A friend of mine was in town from California on Thursday and insisted on fishing despite the 20 mph wind and full moon. We did a short trip after work. Turned out to be worth the effort of splashing the Pathfinder. Caught and released five trout (22"-26"). Missed quite a few as well.
4-06 Had family in town from North Carolina. Wind was cranking 20+ mph out of the North, full moon. Tough conditions. Had to have the trolling motor on full just to hold position. Fished with my brother John and brother in law Tim. Only fished from 6:15pm to 7:45pm, but it was action packed. Finished with five nice trout (18-22") and an over slot red. Lost another big red that Tim battled up, down, and on both sides of the canal before it freight trained him into the mangroves. All fish were released to fight again, although flipper snuck up on us and took one trout for dinner.
