SGI report

[GANDER]

Some good fishing on the island this week prior to the storm activity. Trout, blues, whiting a few pompano Gulf side, fished bay side and got into the trout and a few reds earlier this week. Took first trip to the east end...holy mackerel! Got into the Spanish and it was a riot but frustrated by cutoffs. Heard a couple guys killed the pompano there Wednesday. Fishing the bay tomorrow with Capt Chris Sapp, hoping to score a few more reds and trout to ice down for the trip north!

We've had similar results this week, catching most of ours drifting through the cut. Pomps, sheepshead, and more bonnetheads than I care to remember.

Awesome! Hope it continues through end of may and june when I come down there.
Wonder if the Pomps will still be there end of may? I've never caught one on SGI.
