Another Monday in the books

With this weekends great weather I decided I needed to hit the water but my body said sleep so I never made it out until today. Several of my buddies went got out on there boats Sunday giving me reports of a handful of reds out of the lagoon. I decided to hit the lagoon until I stopped at the bait store where I got a reliable tip of a good productive area and I changed my plans. Irl was the new option. I rolled out in my gheenoe to get in the skinny. I motored to the general area and came off a plan and instantly seeing tailing reds I began throwing chartruse and red gulps. I also tried a new lure I seen at west marine, z-man jerk baits, put it this way I'm out of gulps and z-man lures after today. First fish was 6.5 pound trout and from then on it was wild. 12 reds (15"-27") and 8 trout to end the morning at noon. We seen very many extremely large 6pd+ trout. Later we motored around nearby and found my yearly school of mogan redfish so be ready for more reports!
