Headed East looking for phins, seas were a bit sporty. Wind scattered weeds, no big temp break so we looked for blue water. Found it in about 225 with scattered weeds trolled to 275 and landed a white marlin. Came back to color change and found some phins slow day but ended day with 4 phins, largest in high teens. Highlight of the day was the marlin and being boarded by coast guard. Those guys are great but took 20 min out of our day. No complaints they are here for us if we need them. Nice on the white. They're a great fish and a real bonus anywhere. Thanks for the report

They actually boarded you that far offshore?
I always worry about them finding my secret spots for all the beer cans

Yea I have actually been boarded several times out there.I think some are fishermen just trying to figure out whats biting on what and where. Cant say as I blame them even better than the forum.
