DRichard gave me a call this morning and wanted to do an afternoon trip and im glad he talked me into going. Got to the beach around 2:30 and watched the waves for about 30 min and then decided to go, 13-16mph east wind. Paddle out 185ft and started jigging.

We were freedive spearfishing and in one spot there were 15+ grouper under us. Everywhere we went lots of grouper. Been catching them deep too. But once season opens i am sure i wont see a single one. We could have limited out easy today spearfishing. High light of the day was a 15lb king, my first by spear
Not even close to 36". But got him in like 20ft of water on a rapala. Nice grouper!
