    Fort DeSoto 3/13

Wanted to get the boat in the water and my girlfriend wanted to get some sun so we decided to check out Fort Desoto area. Wasn't a hard core fishing trip more just a day on the water. The wind wasnt bad at all until later in the day, by that point we weren't burnt and exhausted so headed back in any way. Picked up some live shrimp for my girlfriend to use. She started us off with a nice trout. Ended up with a handful of trout and a handful of lady fish. Nothing too exciting. Did see a bonnet head cruising around next to us in a foot of water which was fun to watch. Nice day on the water even with no crazy fish stories. Thanks for reading.

Very nice, sometimes those relaxing days on the water are even better than the hardcore fishing

Good job guys! Doesn't have to be a hard core fishing trip to be fun.

Sounds like a relaxing day on the water. Man I always thought those fin n feather skiffs were some of the coolest flats skiffs out. If I get a chance to get my hands on one I will snatch it up. Good job!
