I figured I would give it a try at fishing tonight despite the wind. I launched off in Stuart and headed to the bridge. Gave it a few casts with just a few hit and no takes. I ended up going through about 5 color combos to find what was better and ended up using a very odd color to get the snook to bite. My shoulder started acting up so I figured Id leave those big fat snook in the water. After a few hours we went to another bridge to give the smaller snook a try. They were even more pickier. Busted out a few different types of top water lures and the water looked like it was 4th of july. The mullet were flying and the lures were getting ambushed. The explosions of these snook were just amazing. With the current ripping out of control and the wind whipping made it even better. Ended up just taking the hooks off the lures just to tease the snook and watching them bust the lures. after a hour or so went to some docks and they seemed kinda dead. Using DOA cal lures I only go a 1 bite. With time change it was later then it seems so we head back in around 2am.
I apologize for no pictures, choppy waters made pics to blurry
