Dock Slot Snook from 3-11-12
Due to fishing other venues and work, I have only targeted snook once since the season opened on 2-1-12.
That was a bust.
So I decided to break out the rod and cast it around the dock a few times.
I was about to give up, when this 29" fish hit right below my feet.
I had to scramble out onto the jet dock in order to prevent cut offs from the pilings and neighbor's boat.
It was a close call and there were some scrapes on a few pilings.
Not to mention several wild jumping head shakes.
I almost lost it under the jet dock at the end as well.
Luck was on my side, as I finally was able to land it.
I decided to let the fish go and try and catch it again sometime soon.

Good job. I would have had him for dinner after doing all that work though.
