    3/10/12 Govt. Cut

    Quick Report. Launched in at Mathesan aroung 7:00am and headed for Govt Cut. We had butterfly jigging and Bluewater spearfishing on the mind so we didn't stop for livebait. Got out to the "Can" aroung 7:45 and jumped in. Current was strong and not many big fish decided show up. Ended up with 6 rainbow runners and a nice almaco jack. Jigs only produced a few blue runners. At this point we were going to call it a day but realized we still a 2lb live runner in the livewell. Long story short, ran out to about 140', droped the runner down, hooked up, 15 minutes later a 30-35lb cobia was in the boat.
