Put the grady in at 6 and hit the bait guy at 6:15. Out the inlet with one target: BIG COBSFirst boat to anchor at the pile.
Capt. gets his bait in before the anchor has pulled tight and within 3 minutes fish on
Get to see this 40+ # cobia jump out of the water and get slammed by a 12' bullshark
About a half hour later Capt B hooks a 36#er and it makes it way into the box.
Fought a lot of fish only to be eaten by the bull sharks. We would have them on the line and all of a sudden slam
your cut off. I had one close to 60# that got eaten by two sharks. I ended up hooking a big shark that we had to pull the anchor and chase it down for about a mile and a half before it broke off. Never saw what it was and damn am I sore today. Drive back to the pile and rest the hook. Was chumming with some old nasty mullet and everytime I cut it up, it seemed like we got a hit. Right after ALWAYS FORWARD bugged out we reset the hook closer to SPIDER PIG. Start chumming and we see a bull shark and cobia swim under the boat. I started to slowly reel my bottom rod up and damn I'm on.:smoking We think it is a shark and Capt B hooks up. Capt. says keep that shark on your side of the boat while I gaff this keeper. Will do
. Finally we see my fish after gaffing the 22#er and its a 35# cobia with two sharks chasing it. I horse it to the boat and Capt. puts the hook to it.
. Great day on the water We saw four keeper cobia get eaten by sharks on the top, 6 or 7 brake offs of cobia that we never saw the sharks get them, and three keepers in the box
Gave Spider Pig our livies and mullets and hit the bricks. We need a gopro
