    Better Book?

Indian River Flats Fishing Guide: Oak Hill (Mosquito Lagoon) to St. Lucie Inlet [Paperback]
    Martin Smithson (Author)

    or

How and Where to Catch Redfish in the Indian River Lagoon System [Paperback]
    John Kumiski (Author)

    or ?

Just beginning fishing flats and was thinking about picking up one of these books. Has anyone read either? Or have any other suggestions?

Email John Kumiski... He just put out an e-book with tons of good info on the area and he was giving it out free. I follow his reports too. He is one of the most consistent at putting the reports out & they give u a good idea of what is biting at the time & on what.

Smithsons book is generally good.... but since the aeriel pics are from the 1990's...very outdated for my area...since all the grassflats are now gone.

Maybe a subscription to Shallow water angler magazine(if it is still in print?) instead.

Also, Jim Ross does a "course" that might be good for a beginner.

Shallow water angler magazine ceased publications a while ago.

The internet will probably kill all print media eventually.
