    Mixed Bag: 3/6/2012

Decided to try somewhere brackish I haven't spent much time, just to try something new this afternoon. Fished a few hours of daylight plus about 30min after dark with the moon so bright.

Got 4 of these silly little green fish. 3 during the day, one after dark.

Was push-poling around in a foot of water when I came across a big, dark, gnarly tail sticking out of the water. Thought it was a big black drum and threw on him. After a 20minute sleigh ride I found out I was mistaken.

3ft long and 30lbs according to the boga grip! Not a man-eater but close enough to a river monster for me!

Accidentally snatched a 3ft spotted gar in the tail. Oops, sorry buddy!

Finally a redfish SMALL enough to eat!!! I'd forgotten they made em this small!

How do you like that Aquabound Carbon, is it a manta ray? I've got a Fiberglas manta ray, thinking of moving up.

Yeah, it's the carbon fiber manta ray. I really like it! Definitely switch, it'll feel like a feather compared to your fiberglass.

That was a grass carp which is illegal to possess without a permit so I had to put it back.
