More GOP bad News- McCain: Romney May Be Too Wounded to Win in November

OUCH! Didn't a buch of you vote for this guy last time? And considering he lost (twice) he would know best.

Mitt Romney could be too wounded from the drawn-out and increasingly bitter Republican primary battle to be an effective candidate against President Barack Obama, leading supporter Sen. John McCain suggests.

And the GOP’s 2008 presidential candidate called on all four candidates left in the race to tone down the intra-party attacks and concentrate on policies.

“This is like watching a Greek tragedy,” McCain told the Boston Herald, saying that negative campaigning and increasingly personal attacks “should have stopped long ago.”

“Any utility from the debates has been exhausted, and now it’s just exchanging cheap shots and personal shots followed by super PAC attacks,” said the senior senator from Arizona, one of two states with primaries today.

McCain endorsed Romney in early January and says he remains convinced that his man will win the nomination. “I know he’s going to be the nominee, but I also worry about how much damage has been done,” McCain said. “Once we get this over, the more we’ll be focused on Obama’s failures.”

McCain said the current campaign is far worse than the bitter 2008 Democratic primary between Obama and Hillary Clinton. “That was nothing compared to this,” he said.
“The worst you got then was, ‘What are you going to do if you get that phone call at 3 in morning? Compare that to ‘Massachusetts liberal’ and “Romneycare’ . . . These people are not respectful.”

Considering that he lost twice, I would say that he knows least.

He know best from losing Grady

Some people call that experience, first hand knowledge and wisdom

"Greek Tragedy" oh the irony of that one from a former candidate being accused of fathering a black child, you know the GOP is in deep sheet if they think this cycle is worse.

If I didn't know better I think you called Ron Paul insane with that brush stroke.

Didn't you vote for insanity? Your loser is calling your pick a loser. There has got to be a word for that

I cannot imagine how anyone in their right mind would or could vote for H.............with that said.........I see no way Romney can get elected if he is the chosen one. It is clear he isn't even favored in his own party

    It's like a double negative.
