PC 3/30 Offshore - late report - Phins and a Hoo

Started out with a big light and gun on a boat turning me around to let a sub in then out to what NOAA called 1-2 ft. South wind drenched us out to 25 miles. lines wet at 180 on sparse weedline but didn't feel it and temp not right so moved out to stream where we found a rip at 250 at the right temp. Trolled north and south both sides...nothing. Then after some lure adjustments wamo flatline produces 40lbs plus wahoo then 3 phins on the same rip from 225 to 250 and 74ish. Took nakeds, blue and white Islander and purple and black. Had several more knock downs but cobb webs in the brain and some new anglers had me returned via a rough ride to sunrise at 5. Overall a decent first trip of the season. Just glad to be on the boat in water draggin

Nice job. I was in a 21ft keywest behind that sub too... there was a serious chop on that water in the a.m., really ruff ride out! We end up with 2 phins, and 1 lost at the side of the boat. Peanuts were all over in 120ft, so we headed out to 240 and found a couple keepers.
