Monster in my book 12lb 25inch. Sheepshead. Was caught at 1-4bridges south of beach blvd ramp. Set up: penn 650 on a 6' sturdy stick mono 25lb test, 1/2once weight, 200lb swivel,same 25lb test, size 2 j hook. It was a spare rod with what I could find tackle and a handful of fiddlers. My girlfriend had the rod. Had it 5feet away from the structure, talking crap about how there is no fish when it didn't bother to chew and did a hit and run attack. Tearing the line off the reel, back under the boat, around the anchor line and around the bend/corner/piling. I grabbed the rod. I gave it slack fixed the mess and Fish on! Gave a big 3-5min fight brought it to the boat with no net and no struggle. Outgoing tide, 25+ winds, 2pm. I have to work next weekend Ill miss the El Cheapo but it looks like there will be many more tournaments to choose from by the end of this year so no big dealGood luck to those who fish next weekend
