Valentines Day on the Hooklesslure - 2/14 Stellar day - dolphin and wahoo.
Got an early start, met up with Gary Sr. with Dynamite Live Bait for some goggle eyes then headed for the inlet. Lines in by 7 a.m. we headed northward, not a half hour goes by we have two dolphin in the boat. Continuing northward in and out from 100' - 300' we continue to pick up more dolphin. Finally making it up towards the Sloans Curve area in the 200' range the wire line begins clicking , could it be? Yes, hand jack the line to the boat and its a small wahoo. Reset and notice a frigate on the water in deeper water head out to 340' under the frigate and pick up two more decent dolphin. We decide to set out our goggle eyes and drift in... not ten minutes into the drift we get a few more dolphin come through the spread, managed to get two out of the three this time losing one at the boat. After several cut offs in 100' we decided to head into LWI and cruise the ditch for a smooth ride back to Boynton. Great day on the water with Dale, John and Steve. Enjoy the pictures, peace.
