The big 60 was looming, so my buds thought I needed a trip to Destin to ward off the willies. We were staying at St. George, but since I usually fish with Capt. Tim Adams on the Doubletime in Destin, we opted to get up early and roll over there.
Despite the early run, we were almost awake while trying to wrangle some baits. Tough to catch today. Fortunately, Capt. Tim had a resevation with the bait boat, so we loaded up and headed out to the blue water. I was a little rough, and one of our party did a little chumming, but managed to rally and put two keepers in the boat and a release or two.
We ended up with a limit of snapper, a trigger, and several releases of grouper and snapper. I threw in a cobia Capt. Tim put me on in May.
