Sir,
If a 10 foot rod is so great for bone fish, how come nobody uses one? and if anything the guides want you to use a 9 footer or less.....This ought to be good.

That's a good question CB... My guess might be that a 10' stick is too long for the rod tubes in most 16-17' boats. I can tell ya that the length comes in handy when you are up to your waste in water or sitting on a kayak. Neither of those instances use rod tubes. It's also benefits the angler with the ability up +70' of line and lay it back out there in 1 cast.
