I went back to Costa Rica to try for Sailfish, Marlin, and Tuna. The Fishing was a little slow. We couldn't find any big Yellow fins. The other boats were catching real small YF in close but we wanted big ones and they were nowhere to be found. I did end up hooking and landing 6 of the 11 sails that showed up in our spread and we raised two blue marlin but neither one would eat the trolling lures or the live blue runners and bonitos we threw to them. Cameron and Sam also each caught a sailfish on the last day. The sails were ranging between 100 and 130 lbs which is quite a bit bigger than the ones we catch here. All in all it was a good trip with great memories.
Here are some shots I took with my still camera of a boat close to us with a double
A little bit of inshore fishing with lots of macs and small stuff
mullet snapper
Action shots I took while Sam and Cameron were catching their sails
