Naples Offshore With TG - 1/21

Headed out with TG and JoeSnook yesterday morning looking to put some blood in Terry's beautiful cat. Joe and I dove a couple tanks at a 40 foot wreck and shot a mess of nice sheepshead and snapper. Ran further out to the 60 foot range and regular-old-fished up a bunch of red groupers. Most of them went back in the drink as we thought the minimum size was 24 inches. Still brought home two good ones, the biggest about 12 pounds.

"Somebody" also lost the cobia of a lifetime right next to the boat. It was big enough that we thought it was a shark until we got a closer look.

Thanks again Terry for a great day - can't wait to do it again.

You guys are welcome anytime. But I thought we weren't going to mention Joe's lost cobe. Or the fact that he actually had it to the boat. And we weren't going to talk about how he just HAD to palm the spool. So don't talk about any of that stuff. And serious thanks to Indianoutlaw's friend Glen who hooked me up with some knowledge....I owe him.

I'm in on the next trip as well if I get a heads up. Sorry I couldn't get out with you guys as it looks like I really missed out. Great report! Joe, don't worry about the Cobia, I lost the first one I hooked as well!
