    December fishing Southeast Coast!

Hey guys, I will be staying in Pompano Beach December 11th to the 19th. I am willing to travel as far north as Singer Island and as south as Miami.

is there any really good fishing around this area during this time of year. Looking to either fish from shore or very near shore. Can't go out to sea, I get really sick. And don't mind hiring a guide.

On foot, I'd go to the Pompano Beach pier. That time of year you could find some macks, kingfish or even a lost sailfish

Then hire Bob LeMay...(lemaymiami) he is on our site...He fishes Flamingo and Miami depending on species and time of year...He is top tier.

If you want to do something different, another option would be to do a freshwater trip in Lake Ida for peacock bass and have a shot at a clown knifefish. I did that last year with my son, and it was pretty cool. We got a lot of largemouth bass (didn't count), several peacocks (maybe 10), and I got one knifefish, maybe 7-8 lb.

If I was only going to fish one day though, I'd probably go with LeMay as duckmanJR suggested instead.

If there is a cold front preceding your trip it could give the peacocks lock jaw,
I would call Jeff at http://lunkerdog.com/index.htm
