Capt Louie... totally understand! So after this weather we have been having last week+. With daytime highs in the upper 90s. I know the Gulf heating up to 85 here.... Would have to guess it would be 88/89/90 in the lakes? Would that not make them lethargic? Like I was saying that 8" bluegill and the big bass is like "I ain't moving, its too damn hot"?

    Close to 9lb fish! Awesome

Even in the hottest months, bass gotta eat. So I bet your buddy caught most of those big summertime bass in the first few and last few hours of daylight and in the dark. Basically target them like you'd target topwater seatrout in the lagoon: low light, lowest temps of the day.
