    Fort Desoto help

I fish the Gulf Shores pier in Alabama and the Navarre pier in northern Florida pretty regularly, I'm coming down to St. Pete and I'm going to have half the day to fish. That being said I want to be able to catch a snook and maybe get the shot at a tarpon. Does anyone have any advice on where to fish at the fort, what bait is there, etc? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can catch them on both piers and off the beach throw a cast net for some live bait for the best results

Yeah, walking the beach from a 1/2 hour before sunrise, to an hour or so after, is tough to beat.
Try a pearl 4" fluke, rigged on a weighted worm hook
