Massive School of Bull Redfish on the Mosquito Lagoon - Video
Well a couple of weeks ago I was able to get out and do some fishing with a colleague and myself. We had a great day! There was only one or two boats in sight the whole day. We were able to get into some really nice bull reds. A very large school of them. I just now got around to putting this together and had to edit out a bunch of dead time, so it took me a while to get it up here. We landed several throughout the day but I was able to get these with some nice HD footage. Landed them all using D.O.A.'s. and light tackle.

Excellent.
I have a coefficient where my inability to hookup a red goes up with the size of the school. Those big schools have always been a bust for me. I blame it on the fish being constantly harassed which may partly be to blame, but I certainly can't fault my fish-catching skills, now can I.

Thanks for posting the video.
What reel are you using on that first hooked red? Is that a Stradic FI?

Appreciate the comments! Thanks!
I am using the Sustains (4000/2500), yes. Also a Stella there.

Water Depth
Most of these fish were in the deeper waters just roaming and heading towards the south. They never did a 180 or anything like that. Every now and then they crossed maybe a 3 foot section of the the lagoon or so but I would say they stayed in 5-8 feet that day. No rhyme or reason too it. I would also say they were all or most males due to the drumming they were doing.
