Helen S and Fish City report Big Dolphin, groupers, and snappers!!

Once again sorry no reports for awhile. Busy with maintenance on the boats, changing diapers, and turning 40 ouch. Anyway fishing has been great, lot's of black groupers biting before this wind picked up. No real monsters but most have been 12 to 18 pounds, nice eating size. Lot's of tails and a few muttons. Had some nice yellow eyes and vermi's on one of the slick calm mornings last week. With the wind the past few days we've been catching some nice dolphin, the first we've seen since springtime, and they have been some real nice fish too. Yesterday morning they caught 4 from 10-20 pounds and pulled the hooks on a couple more. The afternoon they caught 6 all the same size and lost one over 30 at the boat. The weather looks horrible for the weekend but it couldn't be better for dolphin fishing on the edge, there have been acres of ballyhoo and flying fish between the reef and 200 feet and the dolphin have been mixed right in with them there. If you can brave the seas the fishing should be off the chain. Good luck if you can get out.
