    Smashing the Docklights

Docklight fishing with the fly rod is one of my favorite types of fishing to do and it's been producing pretty good lately. Went out the other night with the 6 and 8 weight and put a hurting on em for a few hours. Ended up with 14 snook and 2 trout. Watched every fish destroy the fly, which is the reason why I like docklight fishing. You're sight fishing almost every fish you catch. I've been tying a super simple fly that has been working really well. I do a polar flash tail with small palmering chenille body tied on either a size 4 or 6 hook and they love it. Some nights will burn through a dozen or so of them. Glad they're quick and easy to tie! Tight lines.
