Lost a good friend yesterday, and so did KW

We lost a good friend yesterday in Jared Michael Hobgood. He grew up here in Tampa but has lived in Key West for like 15 years now playing at Irish Kevin's, so I am sure some on here have been down there and seen him play. He also came home every year to play at our annual crawfish boil, which, along with Key West, will never be the same. Fair winds and following seas to you, my good friend....Godspeed JMH.

His favorite Irish song The Parting Glass which he ended his shows with

    Here is the whole thing:

Of all the money that e'er I had
I've spent it in good company
And all the harm that e'er I've done
Alas it was to none but me
And all I've done for want of wit
To memory now I can't recall
So fill to me the parting glass
Good night and joy be with you all

Of all the comrades that e'er I had
They are sorry for my going away
And all the sweethearts that e'er I had
They would wish me one more day to stay
But since it falls unto my lord
That I should rise and you should not
I'll gently rise and I'll softly call
Good night and joy be with you all

A man may drink and not be drunk
A man may fight and not be slain
A man may court a pretty girl
And perhaps be welcomed back again
But since it has so ordered been
By a time to rise and a time to fall
Come fill to me the parting glass
Goodnight and joy be with you all
Goodnight and joy be with you all

We go to Irish kelvins every time we are in key west.
I remember talking to one of the guys and he was from Tampa, must of been him.
Sorry to hear about his death.

Friendship is refreshment and sweetness as we pass this way. It is much to feel that, wherever we are, we have friends, and that their friends are ours as well. Our Brother's friends are lonely in this hour, but the friendship we felt for him extends to them. We, too, loved him.

We, too, feel the pain of parting. Our sympathy, our love, are theirs as they were his. Our entire fraternity surrounds his loved ones with the assurance of its affection. We offer the support of our sympathy, the comfort of our faith, the inspiration of our hope, that they, with us, may look beyond this hour through the opening portals of the infinite. So then, let us be unceasingly grateful for every God-given virtue which the life of our Brother expressed, and let us be comforted and sustained by the assurance that life goes on unbroken and uncorrupted and that God alone is the life and light of men.

I am sorry for the loss of your friend.

I looked at his FB page. He sure did a lot of traveling to some cool places in his life.
