11/18/13 Full moon grouper run. Seas and wind look good have to go

We were waiting for a weather window to give us day to run out, full moon was not what we were hoping for. Plan was for a crew of (3) last minute change now it is (2) Capt. Scott and me it has been a while since I had him offshore and his freezer has no grouper in it. Hope we can fix that? Plan was to run to out off the light house SW to my honey hole not stop, go another 5 or 6 miles to another cluster of numbers.
Run out was nice rollers most of the way to 30 miles, no birds or bait along the way. Seas were calm enough that we did not anchor or have to chum once. Moved four times to spread the catch out. Scott had the hot hand using a giant paddle tail he got at Orlando Bass Pro close out sale you will see it in one of the pictures. He now wishes that he had more in his tackle box. He also brought some cat fish that he had for tarpon season that he had on one rod for quite awhile no takers so he takes it off throws it over board . Puts on a pin fish it gets slammed we get it on deck what does it spit out the cat fish we had thrown overboard Go figure?DSCF1227.jpgDSCF1228.jpgDSCF1231.jpgDSCF1232.jpgDSCF1234.jpg
I have a spot that I call the monster hole. WE had our limit so we decide to pay it a visit. We have pulled 50lb AJ`s out out of it in the past and goliaths I gave him fair warning. Here he is on a fish.

We both had fish on for a while Scott was sweating bullets it was running him a around the boat LOL
    till 60pound braid parted.
    Great day on the water,

That was the weather I was hoping for on Sunday. It was tough driving to work Monday, going over the bridge and seeing the flat calm river and wishing I was fishing. Nice job on the grouper.
